Originally from Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, Jarryd has a deep-rooted passion for sports and athletics. He played four years in the British Columbia Hockey League for the Powell River Kings and Prince George Spruce Kings. Jarryd earned a hockey scholarship and pursued his undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. During his final year at Wilfrid Laurier, he served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Men’s Hockey Team while also conducting research for his undergraduate thesis, which resulted in a published article as a Co-author:

Throughout his hockey career, Jarryd faced numerous injuries and underwent extensive treatment in chiropractic offices and physiotherapy clinics. This firsthand experience inspired him to pursue a career in sports chiropractic. Jarryd attended the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and Doctorate of Chiropractic. Additionally, he completed a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine and became a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®), acquiring valuable experience working with both active individuals and professional athletes.

At CAN-AM Sports Medicine, Dr, Jarryd helps athletes and weekend warriors enhance their performance and recover from injuries, enabling them to get back to performing their best. He prioritizes providing OUTCOMES and RESULTS tailored to each client’s SPECIFIC GOALS. He also designs personalized care plans aimed at achieving DESIRED OUTCOMES. All of Jarryd’s appointments are conducted on a one-on-one basis, ensuring each client receives undivided attention for a full hour.
